Growing Up Anxious: A Toolbox for Managing Stress and Anxiety
“Growing Up Anxious” delves into stress and anxiety management with a focus on childhood and early adulthood. As anxiety becomes more prevalent in our society, the impacts on everyday life for those affected will continue to grow. This book discusses the challenges and tools to overcome that anxiety and stress in a way that is attainable and sustainable. Management tools are explained with anecdotes and research-based experience.
About the Author: Kayla Dahl Maclean grew up in Minnesota, where she was first diagnosed with anxiety as a child. She spent years focused on and researching the best ways to overcome and manage her anxiety and stress that were not only healthy, but had a minimal impact on her day-to-day life. At age 30, she is now able to live most of her life without her anxiety affecting her ability to live.
In 2015, Kayla started a blog as an outlet for her research and experience in managing anxiety and stress. Over the last six and a half years, that blog has grown to over 200 posts. As her passion for anxiety management grew, she decided to write a book in hopes that what she learned could reach even more children and parents.
